However, companies like Sika face an additional challenge — they operate in the construction sector, which is one of the least advanced when it comes to digitalisation.

This presentation covers lessons learnt whilst working as Head of Data and Digitalisation at Sika UK, from how to encourage a data-driven mindset among business stakeholders, to tools that were found useful along the way.

About the speaker

Letitia Birnoschi works at Sika UK, where she is Head of Data and Digitalisation of the roofing business unit. Previously, she was a data scientist within Sika’s quality control department. Letitia’s work centres around developing the data infrastructure and processes necessary for the business unit’s data analysis and reporting activities.

She is also involved in establishing requirements to optimise data quality and acts as Technical Lead in Sika’s collaboration with Peak. Letitia holds a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Manchester and a Master’s in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
